What it does

The office work you shouldn't be doing.

Floor Boss handles the quoting, invoicing, scheduling, and customer follow-up — the stuff that keeps you up at night — so you can stay on the tools where you make money.

Quotes from photos

Snap a photo. Get a quote. Before you leave the driveway.

Stand in the customer's garage, text Floor Boss a photo of the floor, tell it the system and square footage. It builds a draft quote with prep + coating line items and pulls pricing from your product catalog.

  • Auto-reads floor condition (grinding needed, crack repair, prep scope)
  • Pulls your real product pricing — never forget a markup
  • High-value quote? You get a confirmation prompt before it's saved

Customer inbox

Every customer email, filed to the right job. Drafts ready for you.

When a customer emails you about the Henderson job, Floor Boss reads it, links it to their file, and proposes a draft reply. You review by text, approve with "yes", and the draft lands in your actual Gmail — ready for you to hit send. Customers always hear from you, not from a bot.

  • Reads your Gmail inbox and files messages to the matching job
  • Drafts replies you review by SMS — approved drafts go to your Gmail drafts folder
  • You send from your own email. Floor Boss never emails customers without you
  • Recall a draft if you change your mind — one text and it's pulled back

Gets you paid

Overdue invoices chased automatically. You approve. It sends.

Every morning Floor Boss scans your unpaid invoices, flags the ones that are 15+ days late, and proposes a payment reminder draft. You reply YES by text and it lands in your Gmail. Three escalation levels, stops after 14 days.

  • Proposes drafts — doesn't send blind. You're in control
  • Three escalation levels: gentle, firm, final
  • Tracks who paid after a reminder so you see which drafts actually work

Crew aware

Always knows where your crew is. Even when you don't.

Crew members text the same number. Mike texts "starting at Henderson, need more primer" — Floor Boss logs the hours, pings you about the primer, and updates the job file. Your crew sees only their own jobs. Customer money stays private.

  • Crew has access to their own jobs, schedules, and photos — nothing else
  • Hours, expenses, and before/during/after photos logged automatically
  • Morning briefing sent to every crew member at 8am. No "where am I today?" calls

How it works

Three steps. No IT department required.

You're running a business, not configuring software. Setup is conversational — tell Floor Boss your crew, your prices, your email, and you're in.

1

Sign up, get your number

Pick your private Floor Boss phone number. This is your line — you and your crew text it to run the business. Customers never text this number (it's locked down). They still email you, and Floor Boss drafts replies for your approval.

2

Connect Gmail & add your crew

Connect your Gmail in one click so Floor Boss can read customer emails and save drafts. Add your crew by texting their names and phones. They get an intro SMS.

3

Start texting

Text what you need done: "quote for Bill 500 sqft polyaspartic", "where is Mike", "draft a thanks email to Sarah". Floor Boss does it, shows you, waits for your OK.

Why not just use ServiceTitan or Jobber?

Those tools are great if you have an office admin who lives in a web browser. You don't. You're in a garage, on a scaffold, or driving between jobs. Floor Boss meets you where you already are — your phone.

FAQ

Questions contractors actually ask.

Does the AI ever just… send stuff without asking me?

No. Floor Boss never sends an email, a quote, or an invoice without your explicit approval. It proposes drafts, shows them to you by text, and waits for YES. For high-value quotes (over $5,000) it flags them extra clearly so you don't miss a zero.

What happens if the agent makes a mistake?

Every action the agent takes is logged to an audit trail you can review. If it claims to have done something it didn't, a built-in "hallucination catcher" flags it on your reply. And because every outbound action goes through your approval, mistakes are caught before they reach customers.

Can my crew see all my customer data?

No. Crew members only see their own jobs, their own schedules, and their own photos. They can't see customer pricing, other crews' schedules, or anything financial. That boundary is enforced at the AI level, not just in the UI.

Does it work with my existing QuickBooks / Stripe / Google Calendar?

Gmail and Google Calendar: yes, built-in. Stripe: coming soon — payment links on invoices. QuickBooks: one-way sync on the roadmap. For now, Stripe's built-in QuickBooks integration handles reconciliation automatically once payments land.

How is this different from FloorWIZ?

FloorWIZ is a great floor visualization tool — it makes static swatches look good on a customer's photo. Floor Boss is an entire assistant: SMS conversations, quote creation, invoice chasing, crew management, email drafting, and more. Floor visualization is one feature on the roadmap, not the product.

What if I'm using Outlook instead of Gmail?

Outlook support is in the pipeline — we're migrating to a unified email provider that handles Gmail, Outlook, iCloud, and IMAP in one API. Gmail works today; Outlook ships before public launch.

Is my data safe? Who can see it?

Your data is stored in Supabase (Postgres) with per-contractor row-level isolation. Only you and your authorized crew can see your data. Anthropic processes AI requests but doesn't store conversation content long-term. Full privacy policy at onboarding.

Who built this?

A floor coating contractor who got tired of spending evenings on invoicing, lost leads from missed emails, and customers asking "where are you guys?" while the crew was stuck in traffic. Floor Boss is the tool he wanted, built for the people who do this work.
